
New lawyer Sulvaran & Peterson Sint Maarten
PHILIPSBURG - Law firm Sulvaran & Peterson recently added a third lawyer to their Sint Maarten office with Sjamira Roseburg.
Sjamira began studying law in 2009 at the University of Leiden. Later she studied law at the Connecticut School of Law in the United States and obtained her master’s degree from the Erasmus University (Rotterdam) in 2013 with a specialization in criminal law.
During her studies Sjamira worked as a legal assistant at the law firm Roethof in Amsterdam. She also volunteered at the children’s and youth legal information desk in Leiden, where she gave legal aid to youths in juvenile detention.

In 2012 Sjamira interned as a parquet secretary at the prosecutor’s office in Aruba. In the Netherlands she worked in 2013 and 2014 as a clerk for the Rotterdam court where she drafted rulings in criminal cases.
Besides her work as a lawyer Sjamira Roseburg is involved with the empowerment of young women and youth. She does this by providing information about the relation between time, hair and self-image.
At the Sint Maarten office of Sulvaran & Peterson Sjamira will handle general legal cases with a focus on criminal cases.
